Hriday Garg, DPS Indirapuram Student, Triumphs with Triple Gold at Asian Schools Chess Championship

DPS Indirapuram beamed with pride as its talented student, Hriday Garg, emerged victorious at the prestigious Asian School Chess Championship 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, held from 13 July to 21 July 2023. Hriday’s exceptional talent and determination led him to grab triple gold medals in all three formats – classical, rapid, and blitz, in the Under-7 Open Category. He has made his school and his country proud with this outstanding achievement.

 

Hriday Garg’s achievement is even more special as he is the only Indian to achieve such a remarkable victory across all three formats in the tournament. His passion for chess and unwavering dedication paved the way for his success at a young age, earning him recognition on the international stage. He has portrayed remarkable other tournaments, including National Schools Chess Championship 2023 in the Under-7 category, Delhi State Under-7 Championship, Delhi State Under-9 Championship, etc. He was also selected for the National Chess Championship in West Bengal from 20 September to 29 September 2023.
